Jobs / Internships

Besides the local Chilean workers and guides who work with us throughout the year, we also welcome international helpers during the high season.
If you're interested in joining us on the farm for a few months as a helper, please review the following information and then contact us.

Generally we take helpers for two areas.

A: taking care of the horses and guiding rides/tours and
B:Taking care of horses, helping on the farm and ranch,

For both placements you should:

…be able to work independently and handle large responsibilities.
…have good social skills and like dealing with our international guests.
…have experience with horses.
…speak fluent English and at least some Spanish.
…love to be outside, even in bad weather.

Responsibilities for "A" include:

....Guiding tours on your own and co guiding multi-day treks after a period of getting accustomed to the farm, horses, and trails.
.... Doing all manner of work connected with treks and horses, including catching, grooming, feeding, saddling, and herding the horses, as well as helping to prepare and pack for treks.
....Caring for our international guests in the cabins
You will stay with us for 12 weeks or longer
Responsibilities for "B" include:
...co-guiding half day tours together with guides and arrieros
... Doing all manner of work connected with treks and horses, including catching, grooming, feeding, saddling, and herding the horses, as well as helping to prepare and pack for treks.
...Caring for our international guests in the cabins
....Helping in the house and organic farm and garden, helping with the cooking for staff and guests
You will stay with us for 6 to 12 weeks.

As a helper you will:

… generally work about 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.
... share a double room in a cabin with the other helper/interns.

We take helpers for "B" from mid December to end of April
