AIESEC is a 60 year-old global organisation that develops students and recent graduates into leaders by running and participating in an international exchange program.

Our aim is to empower other young people like us to develop their skills so that they can change the world for the better.

AIESEC was conceived to try and help societies understand each other by providing students with the chance to live and work abroad.

Those taking part in AIESEC develop their leadership, business and team skills to such a high standard that they are they are actively sought out by the top organisations across the world business for their outstanding skills and leadership abilities.

By running this global exchange program AIESECers develop their leadership, business and team skills to such a high standard that they are globally recognised by businesses and institutions as being the most pro-active, the most ambitious and the most talented students in the world. They are actively sought out by these top businesses and organisations because AIESECers have the skills, passion and ability that are needed to be successful in today´s globalised societies.

Set up in 1948 AIESEC was conceived to try and help societies understand each other by providing students with the chance to live and work abroad - by doing so they would go through a powerful development experience which will provide them with high level skills and a global understanding that would serve them for the rest of their lives.

Today in 2007 it has 23,000 members in 1000 universities in 100 countries and territories across the globe. AIESEC realises 5000 exchanges and runs 350 conferences a year together with our 3500 partners. Having existed for 60 years we now have 1,000,000 alumni, but we continue to grow. Most recently we have expanded into Iran and we are preparing to expand into Algeria.
