Location

The city of Borsa is a starting point for visiting the Maramures area. It is located in the south of Maramures, at an altitude of 850 m in the Rodnei Mountains, on the Viseu river valley. The relief of the Borșa area is mountainous, with steep slopes and high level differences. The heights that meet in the area belong to three mountain formations: Rodnei Mountains, Maramures Mountains and Tibau Mountains.
