Language & Requirements

Most companies accept internationals - students, graduates, professionals and anyone seeking work experience. You usually need to be aged 17+ and be an English speaker. There are over 30 unique languages spoken in Central America, the main being Spanish which is spoken in the majority of countries whilst English is suprisingly the official language of Belize. Most jobs are in English but it is recommend you know at least basic Spanish. Cost of Living

 

How much you will pay in terms of housing, food and going out varies drastically depending on where you are based. This region has some of the best value in the whole world but then some places like Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama have quite high living costs.
